Tool – Vicarious – Video and Lyrics

Tool - Vicarious - Viedo and Lyrics

The song is the first single released from their fourth full-length studio album 10,000 Days. Debuting on April 17, 2006. The seven-minute song entered the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart at #2. It received a nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. The song features a 5/4 riff and describes the vicarious thrill the public receives from living through others in the media eye.

Tool – Vicarious

Eye on the TV
’cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavour
It happens to be like;
Killed by the husband
Drowned by the ocean
Shot by his own son
She used the poison in his tea
And kissed him goodbye
That’s my kind of story
It’s no fun ’til someone dies

Don’t look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie
Into the TV
Stare like a zombie
While the mother
Holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky crying
Why, oh why?
’cause I need to watch things die
From a distance

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
You all need it too, don’t lie

Why can’t we just admit it?
Why can’t we just admit it?

We won’t give pause until the blood is flowing
Neither the brave nor bold
The writers of stories sold
We won’t give pause until the blood is flowing

I need to watch things die
From a good safe distance

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same so
Why can’t we just admit it?

Blood like rain come down
Drawn on grave and ground

Part vampire
Part warrior
Carnivore and voyeur
Stare at the transmittal
Sing to the death rattle

La, la, la, la, la, la, la-lie

Credulous at best, your desire to believe in angels in the hearts of men.
Pull your head on out your hippy haze and give a listen.
Shouldn’t have to say it all again.
The universe is hostile. so Impersonal. devour to survive.
So it is. So it’s always been.

We all feed on tragedy
It’s like blood to a vampire

Vicariously I, live while the whole world dies
Much better you than I

Bob Marley – No Woman No Cry – 1979 – Video and Lyrics

Bob Marley - No Woman No Cry - 1979

A great performance of No Woman No Cry from Bob Marley. Bob Marley & The Wailers playing No Woman No Cry live at Amandla Festival – Harvard Stadium, Boston MA 07/21/1979. This was one of Bob’s unique shows because was before the geginning of the Survival 1979 tour.

This became Marley’s first hit when it was released as a single from his album, Live!, which was recorded at the Lyceum in London in 1975. It was a hot July night, and they gave a rousing performance. This tour was a breakthrough for Marley and The Wailers.>Their previous tour went horribly, as audiences outside of Jamaica did not appreciate his pure Reggae. He polished and tightened his sound for this tour in order to compete with the slick arena acts that were popular at the time, and got a great response. Glowing reviews led to sold out shows in the US, and by the time the tour hit London, they were a huge success.

The original line of the song is “No, Woman, Nuh cry.” Nuh is Jamacian for “don’t,” so what is meant by the lyric is No, Woman, Don’t cry… He’s leaving and reassuring her that the slum they live in won’t get her down, that everything will be alright and “don’t shed no tear.”

Bob Marley – No Woman No Cry

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.

‘Cause – ’cause – ’cause I remember when a we used to sit
In a government yard in Trenchtown,
Oba – observing the ‘hypocrites – yeah! –
Mingle with the good people we meet, yeah!
Good friends we have, oh, good friends we have lost
Along the way, yeah!
In this great future, you can’t forget your past;
So dry your tears, I seh. Yeah!

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry. Eh, yeah!
A little darlin’, don’t shed no tears:
No, woman, no cry. Eh!

Said – said – said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown, yeah!
And then Georgie would make the fire lights,
I seh, logwood burnin’ through the nights, yeah!
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge, say,
Of which I’ll share with you, yeah!
My feet is my only carriage
And so I’ve got to push on through.
Oh, while I’m gone,
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right, yeah!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right-a!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right, yeah!
Everything’s gonna be all right!

So no, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
I seh, O little – O little darlin’, don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry, eh.

No, woman – no, woman – no, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
One more time I got to say:
O little – little darlin’, please don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry.

The Rolling Stones – Wild Horses (2009) Video and Lyrics

The Rolling Stones - Wild Horses (2009) Video and Lyrics

Music video by The Rolling Stones performing Wild Horses. (C) 2009 Promotone B.V. under exclusive licence to Universal International Music B.V. Along with “Brown Sugar”, it is one of the two Rolling Stones compositions from Sticky Fingers Album. Released as the second US-only single in June 1971, “Wild Horses” reached #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted, I bought them for you
Graceless lady, you know who I am
You know I can’t let you slide through my hands

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away

I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
Now you decided to show me the same
No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away

I know I’ve dreamed you, a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don’t have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Let’s do some living, after we die

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we’ll ride them some day
Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we’ll ride them some day

AC/DC – Thunderstruck (Live At Donington) HD with Lyrics

AC/DC - Thunderstruck (Live At Donington) HD with Lyrics

Live performance of music “Thunderstruck” of AC / DC. Recording of the AC/DC show at Donington Park on 17 August 1991. 350.000 people were here.

(Thunder) (x10)
I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track (Thunder)
I looked ’round,
And I knew there was no turning back (Thunder)
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do? (Thunder)
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you (Thunder)
Sound of the drums
Beatin’ in my heart
The thunder of guns!
Tore me apart
You’ve been – thunderstruck!
Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the ton
Went through to Texas, yeah Texas
And we had some fun
We met some girls,
Some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules, played all the fools
Yeah, yeah, they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shakin’ at the knees
Could I come again please.
Yeah the ladies were too kind
You’ve been – thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck
Oh, thunderstruck, yeah
Yeah
Now we’re shaking at the knees
Could I come again please.
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
Said yeah, it’s alright
We’re! Doing fine
Yeah, it’s alright
We’re! Doing fine
So fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Whoa baby, baby, thunderstruck
You’ve been thunderstruck, thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck
You’ve been thunderstruck

Chicago – If you leave me now – 1977 (HQ) Video and Lyrics

Chicago - If you leave me now - 1977 (HQ) Video and Lyrics

When music was music, this song is just a beautiful song with a meaning.

Chicago – If you leave me now – 1977 (HQ) Video and Lyrics

If you leave me now
You’ll take away the biggest part of me
Ooo oh, no, baby please don’t go
And if you leave me now
You’ll take away the very heart of me
Ooo oh, no, baby please don’t go.
Ooo, oh, girl, I just want you to stay

A love like ours is love that’s hard to find
How could we let it slip away?
We’ve come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way?
When tomorrow comes and we both regret
The things we said today

A love like ours is love that’s hard to find
How could we let it slip away?
We’ve come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way?
When tomorrow comes and we both regret
The things we said today

Aerosmith – I don’t want to miss a thing Video and lyrics

Aerosmith - I don't want to miss a thing Video and lyrics

Aerosmith – I don’t want to miss a thing Video and lyrics, from the original soundtrack from the Armageddon film

I could stay awake just to hear you breathin’
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you’re far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure

Don’t wanna close my eyes
I don’t wanna fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing

Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I’m wondering what you’re dreaming
Wonderin’ if it’s me you’re seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we’re together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever

I don’t wannna close my eyes
I don’t wanna fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing

I don’t wanna miss one smile
I don’t wanna miss one kiss
I just wanna be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For the rest of time Yeah yeah yeah

I don’t wanna close my eyes
I don’t wanna fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing

I don’t wanna close my eyes
I don’t wanna fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
the sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you babe
And I don’t wanna miss a thing

Don’t wanna close my eyes
I don’t wanna fall asleep
And I don’t wanna miss a thing

Deep Purple – Highway Star video and Lyrics

Deep Purple - Highway Star video an Lyrics

This is an amazing video with Deep Purple in Japan in 1972, these the best vocals you can hear since ever.

Nobody gonna take my car, I’m gonna race it to the ground
Nobody gonna beat my car, it’s gonna break the speed of sound
Ooh it’s a killing machine it’s got everything
Like a driving power big fat tires everything

I love it and I need it I bleed it
Yeah it’s a wild hurricane
Alright hold tight. I’m a highway star

Nobody gonna take my girl I’m gonna keep her to the end
Nobody gonna have my girl she stays close on every bend
Ooh she’s a killing machine she’s got everything
Like a moving mouth, body control and everything

I Love her, I need her, I seed her
Yeah she turns me on
Alright hold tight I’m a highway star

Solo:

Nobody gonna take my head I got speed inside my brain
Nobody gonna steal my head now that I’m on the road again
Ooh I’m in heaven again I’v got everything
Like a moving ground, throttle control and everything

I love it, I need it, I seed it
Eight cylinders all mine
Alright hold tight I’m a highway star

Solo:

Nobody gonna take my head I got speed inside my brain
Nobody gonna steal my head now that I’m on the road again
Ooh I’m in heaven again I’v got everything
Like a moving ground, throttle control and everything

I love it, I need it, I seed it
Eight cylinders all mine
Alright hold tight I’m a highway star

I’m a highway star, I’m a highway star, I’m a highway star

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Live – Video and Lyrics

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven Live - Video and Lyrics

The footage is from the concert film “The Song Remains the Same”.
The concert took place in Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Live
Songwriters: James Page;Robert Plant

There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, and she’s buying a stairway to heaven

There’s a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
‘Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook, there’s a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misleading
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it makes me wonder

There’s a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
and it makes me wonder
really makes me wonder

And it’s whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forest will echo with laughter

GUITAR SOLO

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed now,
It’s just a spring clean from the May Queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There’s still time to change the road you’re on
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, Ooh, it makes me wonder

Your head is humming and it won’t go, in case you don’t know
The piper’s calling you to join him
Dear lady, can’t you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind

GUITAR SOLO

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all is one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she’s buying the stairway to heaven

David Bowie – Let’s Dance – Video and Lyrics

David Bowie - Let's Dance

Music video by David Bowie performing Let’s Dance.

Heavily influenced by producer Nile Rodgers’ work with his band Chic, “Let’s Dance” features a thumping bassline, and was arguably Bowie’s most commercial record up to that point.

While the lyrics are ostensibly just those of a dance song, there is some discord struck by lines such as “Let’s dance, for fear tonight is all”. The 7:38 album version was heavily edited for single release, though the 12” single retained the full length.

This loneliness and desperation seeps into the music video, made with David Mallet on location in Australia including Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungle National Park in New South Wales, as well as Sydney Harbour, which features Bowie watching an Aboriginal couple’s struggles against metaphors of Western cultural imperialism impassively while playing with his band. Red court shoes make several prominent appearances in the video, alluding to the song lyric “Put on your red shoes and dance the blues”.

David Bowie – Let’s Dance

Let’s dance put on your red shoes and dance the blues

Let’s dance to the song
they’re playin’ on the radio

Let’s sway
while color lights up your face
Let’s sway
sway through the crowd to an empty space

If you say run, I’ll run with you
If you say hide, we’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let’s dance for fear
your grace should fall
Let’s dance for fear tonight is all

Let’s sway you could look into my eyes
Let’s sway under the moonlight,
this serious moonlight

If you say run, I’ll run with you
If you say hide, we’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let’s dance put on your red shoes
and dance the blues

Let’s dance to the song
they’re playin’ on the radio

Let’s sway you could look into my eyes
Let’s sway under the moonlight,
this serious moonlight
